Moving Day!!

The big day finally came! I got to see my new classroom for the first time annnd move in!! It's been such an exciting process to see the tiny dirt mound evolve into a big brick building!

It's a pretty large room. I am very excited about the window!  That big hole on the wall is for my new Promethean board!! Woohoo! *happy dance*

Well I am just super excited this morning!  I woke up to this....

This came at such a great time!  As I said before, I am moving to a brand new school this year and while we will have some amazing technology to teach with, we don't quite have the basics like number lines and math manipulatives.  Anyways, it's been a huge stress trying to figure out how to get all of the supplies I need.  This will definitely help!!

A first time for everything

Well here it goes...My first blog!  

It's getting close to the end of summer and I've been spending countless hours reading, searching for and printing new things for my classroom.  The trouble is, I haven't actually seen my classroom yet!  I will be teaching at a new school this year annnnd it's still being built.  I have a general idea of what it will look like so in the mean time I've been doodling layouts and day dreaming about where to put things.  The possibilities are ENDLESS!!  :)

While looking for library book bin labels (I know, super exciting!) I stumbled across some photos of other teacher's classrooms on Blogspot.  This lead to snooping through their Teacher Pay Teacher stores, Pinterest sites and then onto their Facebook accounts (yeah, I'm a regular ol' stalker) and I have to tell ya, these ladies are pretty amazing.  So I decided that I wanted to join this community of super cool teachers and share my own ideas, photos and goodies.

Sooo here I am!  I hope to be sharing my teaching experiences and inspire someone else :)
